Marco founded Europe's first "ethical hacking" firm, Ilion Security, which he sold in 2008. He subsequently founded Satorys, another cyber-security startup, which he sold in 2012. Since then, he's mostly been thinking about the way the Internet is helping shape a freer world. Marco is a graduate from the EPFL and a former commissioner on Geneva's data protection council.
